Call for Funding Applications


The Alberta Community HIV Fund (ACHF), a joint community/federal/provincial initiative, is currently inviting applications for funding. Funding will commence in spring 2017. The deadline to submit applications is Monday, November 14, 2016.

Director of Programs and Services

HIV Edmonton is an inclusive and dynamic community-based charitable organization devoted to ZERO; zero new HIV transmissions, zero stigma and discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths. 


Main Responsibilities:

The Director of Programs & Services oversees the delivery of innovative programs and services that provide support, outreach and education to individuals living with, affected by and at risk of HIV, HCV and related STBBI. This position supervises a team of six staff and is responsible for program grants, outputs, outcomes, financial, evaluation and program development. The Director of Programs & Services works collaboratively with agency staff, funders and community organizations to develop and nurture linkages in order to facilitate the achievement of HIV Edmonton’s vision and mission. This position reports to the Executive Director and is one of 4 Lead Team Members.

From the University of Calgary's Faculty of Nursing, this exploratory study assesses and understands HIV-related stigma among African immigrants living with HIV in Alberta, who have had HIV-testing during the Immigration Medical Examination (IME) process.
