Associate Member Requirements
Groups and individuals not funded by the ACHF may also be eligible for Associate Member status. Associate Member status may be conferred by the ACCH Board at any time throughout the fiscal year. Associate Member status provides formal linkage to ACCH Members and other Associate Members. Associate Membership costs $25 annually and is due upon initiation and renewal of status.
An organization might apply for Associate Member status for one of three reasons:
- The organization does not meet all of the criteria for membership, but would still like to connect and collaborate with the Alberta Community Council on HIV and its Members.
- The organization feels that it meets all of the criteria for membership, but does not wish to wait until the next full meeting of the ACCH Membership before becoming associated with ACCH (Associate Member Status can be conferred by the ACCH Board).
- Organizations, which are accorded Associate Member status, have the opportunity to seek full membership provided they meet all of the membership criteria.
An individual might apply for Associate Member status for the following reasons:
- To have a formal link to ACCH and members group
- To provide input and insight into HIV/AIDS policy and programming in Alberta
- To get support and network with the HIV community in Alberta
To be eligible for Associate Member status, a group or individual must agree with the Mission and Vision of the ACCH and must be interested in or involved in incorporating HIV/AIDS information and advocacy into their work.
Associate Members may have access to information disseminated by the organization. Associate Members may attend ACCH Member meetings, but do not have voting rights.
Please contact ACCH at info@acch.ca for more information on becoming an Associate Member.
