2nd African, Caribbean and Black Canadian HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Taking place on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Awareness Day sheds light on the higher rate of HIV infection in Canada’s African, Caribbean and Black communities.

HIV affects certain communities more than others; and HIV-related stigma undoes our work in advocacy, education and health. By talking about HIV openly in our communities, we will help prevent new infections and support individuals who are living with HIV.

HIV Edmonton’s commemorative event takes place on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00PM.

Our message is simple:

  • Use a condom.
  • Get tested.
  • Start a conversation.
